WinterWyman Executive Search has placed Marc Reuss as Chief Human Resources Officer at Excelitas Technologies, a global technology leader delivering innovative, customized photonic solutions. WinterWyman Executive Search's Senior Vice President and Partner Beverly Morgan led the search.
As CHRO, Reuss will be responsible for developing and executing human resource strategies in support of Excelitas’ overall business plan and strategic direction. Additionally, he will provide global strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive leadership team and the Board of Directors. In close coordination and collaboration with the other members of the executive leadership team, and with the support of the human resources organization and management, Reuss will ensure that the business attracts, develops and retains a talented and engaged workforce that will achieve the company’s business objectives and drive results to the next level.
Before joining Excelitas, Reuss was Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for London-based Convatec Group (LON: CTEC), a global medical products and technologies company. Previously he was the Global Head of HR at Novartis (NYSE: NVS) following a similar role with their Vaccines and Diagnostics division. He also held several senior roles with Boston Scientific (NYSE: BSX), including Vice President, HR, International; Vice President, HR, Inter-Continental (IC) Region and Director, HR, Microvasive Group. Earlier in his career, Reuss held HR management roles with Millipore Corporation (now Merck Millipore, a subsidiary of Merck KGaA [ETR: MRK]) and the former BankBoston Corporation. He holds a Master's degree in Human Resource Management from Emmanuel College in Boston.
