          Business Analyst (Data Governance) view Permanent Commensurate with Experience Boston
          This is a great opportunity to work for a mid-sized investment firm in the Boston area. They are looking for a Data Governance Business Analyst with strong SQL skills. This is a new job for the firm so this individual will build out the data governance structure and focus on looking at the BI needs and data sources and enhancing them.
           
          The successful candidate needs to have 3-5 years of demonstrated experience working with an established data governance team. The primary purpose of this role will be to help with the formation and execution of data governance framework, policy, and standards. You will also work closely with business and IT stakeholders to ensure accuracy and quality of data throughout all upstream and downstream data channels.

          Responsibilities
          • Provide thoughtful insight into and data governance best practices education for business users of data and participate on projects that involve any upstream or downstream data flows and processes
          • Collaborate closely with departmental data analysts to identify data governance needs, develop data standards and implement processes/solutions to ensure high data quality
          • Generate and implement, in partnership with departmental data governance leaders, data governance materials that include policies, training materials, data quality reporting and compliance reporting.
