Ranking Marks 15th Consecutive Year Firm Has Been Recognized
Boston, Massachusetts (July 6, 2018) — WinterWyman was named by the Boston Business Journal as one of the “Largest Temporary Placement Firms in Massachusetts.” Twenty-five organizations made the list and it marks the 15th consecutive year WinterWyman has received this recognition. Results were determined by the average number of temps supplied daily in Massachusetts and WinterWyman achieved a seventh-place position. The Boston Business Journal routinely gathers market intelligence on local companies across a wide variety of industries.
WinterWyman interviews an average of 500 new contract candidates monthly and in 2017 handled 2,300 contract placements. On average, the firm supplies more than 600 temps daily in the Boston area.
WinterWyman Staffing specializes in contract and temp-to-perm engagements supporting the following specialties:
- Accounting & Finance
- Human Resources
According to Scott Ragusa, WinterWyman's CEO, "for temporary staffing, we have seen high demand across all industries, especially life sciences, academia and financial services and most notably in roles involving recruiting, software development and accounting. A major factor contributing to the growth of the temporary staffing industry is the candidate-starved market we are in. Companies that traditionally haven’t had trouble hiring full-time employees are turning to contract and temporary staffing solutions to fill voids in their workforces."
Temporary employment has much to offer both employers and job seekers.
To hiring managers, contractors offer a chance to assess an individual’s potential performance and contribution to the organization before making a permanent decision. Contractors are also typically task-oriented, focused and can often seamlessly transition into a permanent position. Use this helpful checklist when you're ready to hire a contract employee.
For job seekers, contract positions are a great way to have a flexible work schedule or create a path to a permanent opportunity. Not sure if contracting is right for you? Here are eight reasons to consider.
